What if being psychic is a skill anyone can practice, just like learning a cartwheel? In this episode of Create the Space, Cody Maher sits down with Elly Molina, private advisor, author, researcher, and creator of the Molina Method, for a conversation about intuition, psychic abilities, manifestation, and the invisible beliefs that shape what we think is possible. Elly shares how her psychic gifts ran alongside a 40-year career in education, why she believes everyone is psychic, and why the real question after a reading is always "How?" She explains the difference between gripping desire and trusting surrender, how a "lack frequency" can quietly block what we want, and her ABE framework (Attitude, Belief, Expectancy) from her book Children Who Know How to Know. Cody and Elly also talk about imaginary friends, nurturing children's intuition, a basil ritual for abundance, how to choose a psychic by looking at their filters, and Elly's concept of the "fish tank," the inherited structure of language and belief we all live inside. Cody shares a feng shui take on the command position and a simple desk mirror fix, then closes the episode with easy feng shui practices for opening your home to new possibilities.

Elly Molina, Episode 5 (full transcript, corrected)
[00:00:00] Hello my friend, and welcome back to Create the Space.
[00:00:02] It's so good to be with you again after a little trip to Maine
[00:00:06] in our family camper with my family, we are back.
[00:00:09] We are home and I am so excited to bring you this conversation.
[00:00:12] So today we are chatting with Elly Molina.
[00:00:14] She is quickly becoming one of my favorite people.
[00:00:17] She's a private advisor and author, a researcher and creator of the Molina
[00:00:22] Method.
[00:00:23] This is a framework exploring the relationship between
[00:00:25] language, perception, consciousness, and what we believe is possible.
[00:00:29] With a background in linguistics and more than three decades as an educator,
[00:00:33] Elly has spent much of her life examining how language and inherited assumptions
[00:00:38] shaped the way we experience ourselves and the world around us.
[00:00:41] Since 2012, she has worked privately with clients around the world,
[00:00:44] including entrepreneurs, business leaders, creatives and public figures.
[00:00:48] Her current work focuses on what she calls the fish tank, the large,
[00:00:51] invisible structure of language, beliefs, memory, culture and meaning through
[00:00:56] which we interpret reality.
[00:00:57] The Molina Method invites people to recognize that structure, question
[00:01:01] its limits, and expand what they are capable of perceiving and creating.
[00:01:05] If you have kids, if you are into growth, if you are curious
[00:01:09] about psychic abilities and all of these amazing things, listen up.
[00:01:13] This is a great conversation.
[00:01:15] Hi Elly, I'm so happy you're here.
[00:01:17] Hello, Elly.
[00:01:18] How are you? Hi, Cody. I'm well, thank you.
[00:01:21] So, everybody, we were just talking, and we were right about.
[00:01:24] I could feel it.
[00:01:25] We were, like, about to get into a conversation.
[00:01:27] Things were going to happen,
[00:01:28] and I rudely interrupted our dear guest and said, wait a minute.
[00:01:32] Let me hit record, because this is just the kind of stuff I like to listen to.
[00:01:36] I like to listen to the real stuff.
[00:01:38] So Elly was asking me about voiceover, and so I'll answer
[00:01:41] that question real quick and then we will jump into all about you.
[00:01:44] So yes, I'm a voice actress and things have definitely changed for me personally
[00:01:48] since COVID when everybody became a voice actor that wasn't previously.
[00:01:54] And just things are shifting and changing,
[00:01:55] but it's something I absolutely love and really super enjoy.
[00:02:00] So yeah, I hope that is in my life forever and always because I love doing it.
[00:02:04] Yeah, awesome.
[00:02:05] I was just curious as I have a client who is a voice actress also.
[00:02:09] So conversations that we have sometimes are about the dry
[00:02:13] spells, like what do you do during a dry spell?
[00:02:16] What do you do when you're not in a dry spell?
[00:02:19] What does that look like?
[00:02:20] What does it take to have one constantly be on the circuit?
[00:02:24] Basically? Yeah.
[00:02:25] I'd love to hear what you tell this person,
[00:02:27] because I feel like that could really apply
[00:02:29] to a lot of different artistic careers, right?
[00:02:32] It's not just voice acting.
[00:02:33] There's many different things in life.
[00:02:35] Like what do you do
[00:02:36] when the thing that you love to do or want to do is not happening?
[00:02:40] And what do you tell yourself in those moments?
[00:02:41] To not give up and get frustrated?
[00:02:44] It will take a lot more than for me than to just answer that, right?
[00:02:48] Yeah, sure. Of course. Yeah, of course.
[00:02:51] But you know what?
[00:02:52] This is not a pitch.
[00:02:53] This is basically what I do, my job.
[00:02:55] So I do different things, right?
[00:02:57] So if somebody comes to my website, they're going to say, oh, psychic.
[00:03:00] And then what happens then when they see psychic there.
[00:03:03] Oh let me go get a reading.
[00:03:04] And that's okay. And it's fun.
[00:03:07] I have an entire theory that I can talk about
[00:03:11] and I'll come back to that.
[00:03:14] So that is what I do.
[00:03:16] And I started off I'm just going to give you a little background.
[00:03:19] Yeah. Please do it.
[00:03:20] I started off as an educator only I was always because we all are.
[00:03:26] We're all psychic.
[00:03:26] Only, you know, the cliche is it's a, like playing piano.
[00:03:29] It's like doing anything, right?
[00:03:30] It's like being an athlete, a gymnast.
[00:03:33] If you start to do it all the time and you use it, it gets better and better.
[00:03:37] Unless, of course, you have limitations in your body.
[00:03:40] Just can't go with it.
[00:03:41] Only what we're exposed to
[00:03:43] very early in life is what we pretty much get really good at.
[00:03:47] So that was with me since the earliest days that I can remember.
[00:03:52] And who was psychic back in the day when I was a kid.
[00:03:55] All right.
[00:03:56] It was like, that is just not cool, you know, and talk about that.
[00:03:59] So I went into education and I taught for
[00:04:04] about 40 years between adult ed college and middle school.
[00:04:08] And then I left, and in between I was also working as a psychic.
[00:04:14] I did Long Island psychic fairs.
[00:04:17] I then started working for California Psychics.
[00:04:20] I don't know if anybody listening knows them, but you can Google search them.
[00:04:24] They're a very large international online psychic company.
[00:04:28] And so I worked for them on and off for many years.
[00:04:32] When it's really great practice being on the court,
[00:04:35] because every few minutes I would get a new client.
[00:04:37] So I would have to do another reading anyway.
[00:04:40] Fast forward.
[00:04:41] After years of doing that on the side,
[00:04:43] it always came to the same conversation example.
[00:04:47] Oh, I see you getting a new job
[00:04:49] or something like that, or I see you doing really well in your job.
[00:04:51] I see that.
[00:04:52] And then the question became, how's that going to happen?
[00:04:55] And then that how question no longer is part of the psychic reading
[00:04:59] that really takes a restructuring
[00:05:02] of belief system and thoughts and language and consciousness.
[00:05:06] And so it occurred to me that do readings and then take the client
[00:05:12] that wishes to take them further, take them into the manifestation process.
[00:05:17] But it's really much deeper than the manifestation process.
[00:05:21] Take them into what it is that they can do.
[00:05:25] What structures can they change in their language, in their thinking,
[00:05:29] in their belief system, in their way of being their entire ontology physiology?
[00:05:34] What would it take to get that dream to become a reality?
[00:05:37] And that's the realm that I start working in.
[00:05:39] And that is where the most amazing things just start to unfold.
[00:05:44] Yes, I have so much to say.
[00:05:46] And also, I'm just so I'm so excited you're here because I think this field
[00:05:51] that you're in, I'm going to start just with the psychic aspect, and I know
[00:05:55] that what you do is much bigger, and I 100% we're going to talk about that.
[00:05:59] But I find it so fascinating
[00:06:02] because to me it's like the Wild West, right?
[00:06:05] There's no regulation. Not that there's really.
[00:06:08] A regular regulation.
[00:06:09] Around anything. It's the same as fitness.
[00:06:11] Like you can have some certification or
[00:06:13] but pretty much anyone could just say they're a psychic and charge people money.
[00:06:17] I had actually an experience as a teenager.
[00:06:20] I'm going to tell you about this,
[00:06:21] and you're a New Yorker, so you're going to get this.
[00:06:23] I cannot believe I'm saying this, but this was in Brooklyn Heights
[00:06:26] back in the day, circa 19, probably 80 something, maybe 90 something early 90s.
[00:06:32] It was above the Häagen-Dazs, this one of those classic crystal ball situations.
[00:06:37] I was a young teenager and I went in there and it was this whole thing.
[00:06:40] It was like, oh, you've got a terrible curse.
[00:06:42] And you know, you have to come back and I'll break an egg.
[00:06:45] And I got so scared, but I didn't go back, thank God I had some wits about me.
[00:06:49] But anyway, all that to say, it's such a fascinating field
[00:06:53] to me, and it's such a fascinating thing that we as humans want to know.
[00:06:58] Right?
[00:06:58] I think the deeper question we're asking is, am I on the right path?
[00:07:02] Is what I want right
[00:07:04] for me? There's so many deep questions.
[00:07:06] And so I know that you've developed a whole method.
[00:07:09] You call it the Molina Method around working with people.
[00:07:13] I'm not being super eloquent here, but I really love this connection
[00:07:16] that you've made between the why or the how.
[00:07:19] It's like, okay, how do I get there?
[00:07:21] And yeah, there's got to be so many things that happen in order
[00:07:25] for something to occur, right?
[00:07:26] And for some people, there are those amazing few
[00:07:30] that we hear about that have done it with sheer determination.
[00:07:35] Okay.
[00:07:36] But what we don't hear in that sheer determination not to go negative of it
[00:07:39] here, but if we take someone, for example, the Vanderbilts, okay, or people
[00:07:43] that we know historically, back in the day,
[00:07:45] they made a fortune and people who still historically make a fortune.
[00:07:49] There are other elements besides just their sheer determination
[00:07:53] that get overridden.
[00:07:55] Sometimes things that happen are out of integrity.
[00:07:57] But then again, integrity is a personal thing.
[00:08:00] Then there is the bulldozing one's way when one knows
[00:08:04] that it's not ethically correct.
[00:08:05] Okay, but you're so sheerly
[00:08:08] determined to have what you want.
[00:08:10] You'll do it at any cost. Okay.
[00:08:12] And there's plenty of books and movies about all of that.
[00:08:15] And that is also a phenomenon.
[00:08:17] And the people who do then manifest those things like that with that sheer
[00:08:22] bulldozer, you never really until you're talking to them personally
[00:08:26] or you know, their backstory.
[00:08:28] You don't know what it took to have them get where they were or where they are.
[00:08:33] But for the most part, with the clients that I'm working with,
[00:08:36] the people that I work with who do have these amazing dreams,
[00:08:39] and the people come to me, Cody, with dreams that they're Honest to God.
[00:08:42] They come with dreams
[00:08:43] that they're afraid to talk about, and then that will come out.
[00:08:47] And this is the beauty of the reading
[00:08:49] for some particular reason, and I'm not even sure what that reason is.
[00:08:53] That just comes out during the session.
[00:08:56] And then the client will go, if they're new to me,
[00:08:58] go, well, how did you know that?
[00:08:59] And I said, well, it's just all there. It's all there.
[00:09:02] So I get this image and it's an image.
[00:09:05] I work in images, I get feelings and I hear.
[00:09:07] And so when I get is an image of someone's face that is partially hidden.
[00:09:13] And I'm not going to say a Dorian Gray or anything like that,
[00:09:16] but it is a partial, hidden face of like suffering, where the true desire
[00:09:22] that core that somebody has that they really want to do.
[00:09:25] Example I'm making this up.
[00:09:27] Let's say somebody wants to write a book and they've never written a book.
[00:09:30] And they really it's a longing, it's that seed and it's a longing to do that.
[00:09:34] And that gets buried in all kinds of excuses and resignation, cynicism.
[00:09:41] And then but that seed is still there.
[00:09:43] It's still in the energy field.
[00:09:45] So then that comes out and then that becomes the basis of like,
[00:09:49] well, is that really possible?
[00:09:51] You saw it, you saw this since you saw it, is it possible for me to get this?
[00:09:55] And I said, well, it depends.
[00:09:55] Do you really want it? Okay.
[00:09:58] So like if you really want it then there are steps that you can take.
[00:10:02] There are ways of being, there are ways of thinking.
[00:10:05] There are ways of speaking that aligns you with the,
[00:10:10] let's call it the universe, the plasma force, the god force
[00:10:14] with the unseen powers of what exists that we cannot see.
[00:10:18] And there are ways to tap into it.
[00:10:20] Besides, using a vision board helps you know
[00:10:22] all of these things that we read about and that you hear.
[00:10:24] All of that helps.
[00:10:26] Then again,
[00:10:27] why is it that sometimes you have all that and it doesn't work right?
[00:10:31] Yeah.
[00:10:31] Why is that?
[00:10:32] Yeah. Well, we have different theories. Okay.
[00:10:35] So one of my theories is that it's like a record player going on.
[00:10:39] What is the conversation underneath?
[00:10:41] Okay, so I have people come to me I want to win the lottery.
[00:10:45] Okay.
[00:10:48] All right.
[00:10:48] And then they'll tell me I'm going to win the lottery.
[00:10:52] Now who am I to say no, you're not.
[00:10:54] I actually have a friend like that. Go ahead.
[00:10:56] That's why I was laughing.
[00:10:57] Okay.
[00:10:58] My dearest friend, she's convinced and I believe her.
[00:11:00] That is her future. She will win the lottery.
[00:11:03] Let's just look at the lottery. Statistically, okay?
[00:11:05] Forget the numbers against your odds. But there's a game.
[00:11:08] Let's say I don't know how many times a week, multiple times a week.
[00:11:11] Eventually people are going to win and somebody's
[00:11:14] got to win, and there will be a winner.
[00:11:17] The question that we can ask your friend, and this is something
[00:11:20] that she can ask herself, is how deep?
[00:11:24] Even though she may say to you, I'm going to win.
[00:11:27] I'm convinced, however, is she truly on
[00:11:30] a heart level, internally aligned with winning?
[00:11:34] Is she truly convinced from every fiber of her being that she's going to win?
[00:11:39] And that will make the difference?
[00:11:41] I know lottery winners and they had their numbers show up in a dream.
[00:11:47] So then.
[00:11:48] Yeah, and then the dream told them.
[00:11:50] These are the numbers.
[00:11:52] And then they just played it.
[00:11:53] And no matter how often
[00:11:55] I have spoken to them about, well, what were the thoughts going underneath?
[00:11:59] And a lot of times there were fear thoughts about and praying,
[00:12:03] I need this money, I need this money. Help me with this money.
[00:12:06] And the energy was a trust.
[00:12:09] But what I've heard is that there was a deeper trust and a deeper
[00:12:13] knowing that they would be quote unquote, saved in some way.
[00:12:18] My brain is going a thousand miles a minute.
[00:12:20] I'm on 2.7 in terms of speed, of listening and reacting and so many things.
[00:12:26] But one thing that I know for certain, and I remember this as an actor,
[00:12:30] there's a little saying called book a vacation, book a job.
[00:12:33] And what that saying is getting at is and this happened to me
[00:12:37] many times where I would book a vacation like, which I didn't do a lot.
[00:12:41] So it was like a rare thing.
[00:12:42] And of course,
[00:12:43] when I booked a vacation, let's say I hadn't booked a job in three months.
[00:12:46] That's when I would book a job right then.
[00:12:49] Or I used to play this little game with myself, like,
[00:12:51] I am going to write a book eventually, probably.
[00:12:53] But I was actively writing this book years and years ago in 2019,
[00:12:57] and I knew that every time I went and worked on my book,
[00:13:01] for whatever reason, a voiceover job would come my way.
[00:13:04] And so there's this element of detachment that I personally find
[00:13:08] very hard to manufacture.
[00:13:10] So I'm curious if a little bit of what you're saying
[00:13:13] and a little bit of the process you've uncovered is helping people
[00:13:16] tap into that secret sauce of detachment
[00:13:19] slash also incredible alignment.
[00:13:22] Surrender. Yeah.
[00:13:24] Surrender.
[00:13:24] It's letting, like you said, for example, let's just take your booking a job.
[00:13:28] Okay? So let's say you take all the steps of booking a job.
[00:13:31] You've booked the job, you've put it out to the universe.
[00:13:34] You've said your prayers. You've done what you've done.
[00:13:36] You've done what you did.
[00:13:37] You let your candles, you have your affirmations.
[00:13:40] You're doing your work.
[00:13:41] You even have your magic wand, right?
[00:13:43] So you have your magic wand. Okay.
[00:13:45] So now then you're attached, right?
[00:13:48] There's this high level of attachment.
[00:13:50] And then in that high level of attachment, I always assume that everybody knows
[00:13:54] this, okay. Because I was going to say I know you know this. All right.
[00:13:56] So in that high level of attachment there is that frequency of attachment.
[00:14:01] There's that need.
[00:14:02] There is another frequency.
[00:14:04] There is honestly there's a lack frequency going on.
[00:14:08] As soon as we start doing that, you go on vacation.
[00:14:11] The lack frequency is gone because you're not thinking about this
[00:14:15] and call it the God force, the universe, whatever.
[00:14:18] I like to refer to it as plasma out there now
[00:14:21] starts to formulate what it is that you have wanted
[00:14:24] and then brings it to you, and you have to let go of that attachment.
[00:14:29] And that for me personally, I'm just being fully honest here.
[00:14:32] And I'm sure there's others that agree.
[00:14:34] I mean, we're humans.
[00:14:35] That is the challenging thing. We can go even deeper.
[00:14:37] Yes, work is a deep subject, but I also was on a fertility journey
[00:14:42] for many years, and I had a friend that we were sort of in the same spot.
[00:14:45] So we talk a lot.
[00:14:46] And one of the things that we'd always commiserate about was like,
[00:14:50] if one more person says, just relax and it'll happen.
[00:14:53] That's the worst thing you can tell
[00:14:55] someone that's trying to conceive is just relax and it'll happen.
[00:14:57] But in reality, there is an element to that.
[00:15:00] There is an element to all of this.
[00:15:02] And I find that for the type of human that I am to be incredibly challenging,
[00:15:07] how do we get people, myself included, to come to this space of equanimity
[00:15:12] and still want the thing right, but just to be in resonance?
[00:15:15] I love what you said about how, like when we're in that desiring place
[00:15:19] or that gripping place, we're actually in a frequency of lack,
[00:15:22] whereas when we can just deeply desire it but have a more open, spacious,
[00:15:28] trusting heart, then we're actually in resonance with the thing we want.
[00:15:32] Yeah, it's that trusting heart, Cody.
[00:15:34] That's part of it. Okay.
[00:15:35] It's really a big part of it.
[00:15:36] It's that inner knowing.
[00:15:38] So I remember many years ago, I'm just going to I brought them here.
[00:15:42] My first book that I ever wrote was actually it was my second.
[00:15:45] This was a how to book for educators.
[00:15:47] It's called Children Who Know How to Know, and it is a book
[00:15:52] for educators and parents working with their children
[00:15:56] to develop their psychic and intuitive abilities.
[00:16:01] Because I used to teach that.
[00:16:02] Also back in the day, I worked at a magic school.
[00:16:04] I co-founded one out in Washington state, and we did blindfolded archery.
[00:16:11] Telepathy.
[00:16:12] Oh, remote viewing, all kinds of fun things like that.
[00:16:17] And so to have the children have experiences and then to have them know
[00:16:22] one of the things that I have in the book is an acronym, which is
[00:16:25] I called it ABE, which is attitude
[00:16:29] and then belief and then expectancy.
[00:16:31] So there is when you put it out there, like I have done
[00:16:34] everything that I possibly can do and I'm not going to negate it, I'm
[00:16:40] going to leave it in the realm of expectancy,
[00:16:44] and I know that it will return to me at some point during my lifetime.
[00:16:48] Now, whether it comes in the time frame that I want it to that we don't know,
[00:16:53] sometimes it comes as soon as the next day, and sometimes it can come
[00:16:58] in a few years.
[00:16:59] That's really beautiful and I want to get this book that is so.
[00:17:04] It's on Amazon.
[00:17:05] Have a three year old. This is the best time to start by the way.
[00:17:07] Yeah, that's what I was going to ask.
[00:17:09] Actually this is a little bit of a tangent.
[00:17:10] But after this question I'm going to start.
[00:17:13] You guys I'm so sorry.
[00:17:14] Sometimes I just go in and we don't even know who she is, where
[00:17:17] she's from, a little bit of background, but I apologize for all that.
[00:17:21] This conversation is just so fascinating to me, and I'm sure
[00:17:24] everybody else, my three year old has had an imaginary friend,
[00:17:27] the same friend since she was less than a year.
[00:17:30] Like when she started talking a year, started talking very early.
[00:17:33] So I'm so curious about imaginary friends because I don't remember having any.
[00:17:37] But she has full conversations and Tasia is evolving with her.
[00:17:41] That's her name, Tasia, Tasia's evolving with her.
[00:17:43] Now Tasia starts to do naughty things.
[00:17:45] Tasia never used to do anything or Tasia does things to Montana.
[00:17:48] So I'm curious like how you feel and think about imaginary friends.
[00:17:52] I think they're fabulous and my granddaughter has one.
[00:17:55] She's got two.
[00:17:55] As a matter of fact, they traveled together, Cotton and Jenga
[00:18:00] and that's like, don't ask me.
[00:18:02] And they give her all sorts of advice and they go on all kinds
[00:18:05] of adventures with her, and we all just allow her.
[00:18:09] Nobody makes fun of her.
[00:18:10] People even ask what people even like.
[00:18:12] We even say, what does Cotton say about all of this?
[00:18:15] Okay, what did they tell you?
[00:18:16] Oh, yeah, he told us this. They blah, blah.
[00:18:18] And I think it's just fabulous because imagination is the greatest gift.
[00:18:23] And so I do have to share something personal right now.
[00:18:26] I've got four grandkids at this moment, and I have more contact with one of them
[00:18:33] just because of proximity and circumstances.
[00:18:37] And so she doesn't know this, but I have declared that she's my apprentice.
[00:18:41] And so what that looks like is that we start talking.
[00:18:44] She's turning four now.
[00:18:46] So, Cody, I've been doing this with her since she could speak,
[00:18:49] but now she understands more about apprenticing and working with me.
[00:18:53] So we started doing okay.
[00:18:55] This is another pitch, but I do a lot of mental work.
[00:18:57] Most of my work is mental,
[00:18:59] and I spend a lot of time in my head and in other people's heads.
[00:19:03] And so I also went down a path during my years
[00:19:07] of being an aromatherapist and having an aromatherapy shop in Great
[00:19:12] Neck, New York.
[00:19:13] And it was the first aromatherapy shop in western Nassau County, okay.
[00:19:19] And so when I get really stressed out, too much mental stuff,
[00:19:23] I start doing my magic.
[00:19:25] And that means blends and all kinds of fun things.
[00:19:30] All right.
[00:19:30] So it was in May that I was like, sitting on my head was like,
[00:19:35] oh, this book that I'm writing, it's just too much is too much thinking
[00:19:39] I need to do something fun.
[00:19:41] So I pulled all my recipes together and created this book,
[00:19:45] which I just published in June, which is called Zauberkraft.
[00:19:48] Zauber means magic in German.
[00:19:51] But the difference the language is that this is powerful.
[00:19:54] Zauber does not just mean magic, it is power.
[00:19:58] Magic.
[00:19:59] So anyway, with this we took one of the recipes and this is a great story.
[00:20:04] So I had prepared everything.
[00:20:05] I got her magic wand. She has her magic box.
[00:20:08] We lit the candle.
[00:20:10] We said the work that we had to say.
[00:20:13] Then she brought in some crystals which I hadn't even thought of.
[00:20:16] Okay, honest to God, I forgot the crystals.
[00:20:18] And then she goes and brings in the crystals
[00:20:20] and she says, we need these also.
[00:20:23] And then we go about doing the recipe, which is in the book.
[00:20:25] It's called the basil recipe, which is to bring abundance.
[00:20:29] So we start doing the basil recipe.
[00:20:32] And then I said to her,
[00:20:33] Let's basil for mommy to get, I don't know, more money or whatever.
[00:20:37] Let's basil for mommy. Let's just do that. Cody.
[00:20:40] True story.
[00:20:41] I had no idea this was happening.
[00:20:43] Three days after we do this process, my daughter in law calls me
[00:20:47] and she said, I don't know if I told you, but I just got a raise and a promotion.
[00:20:51] And I'm like, oh
[00:20:53] yeah.
[00:20:54] So then of course I shared that with my granddaughter, right?
[00:20:57] Look what we did.
[00:20:57] We did this for mommy,
[00:20:59] and then my son's in the background and he goes, do one for me.
[00:21:02] That's.
[00:21:05] I said, yes, we will do for you also.
[00:21:08] But the point is that you can start to do this
[00:21:10] with them and start to really be in their imagination.
[00:21:13] Take those walks and see.
[00:21:15] I have a free guide, by the way, on my website, two websites,
[00:21:19] but on the Elly Molina website if anybody's interested,
[00:21:22] there is an entire section there called the PsyKids Academy.
[00:21:26] This is where I work and develop.
[00:21:28] I have material that parents can download.
[00:21:31] It's What if and ways to teach your child how to do all of these
[00:21:35] things and more, and to live in a magical world.
[00:21:38] So let her talk to her friends and have fun and see fairies.
[00:21:43] Turn those dragonflies into fairies whenever you go out.
[00:21:47] Make magic everywhere.
[00:21:49] Oh yeah, we're all about it.
[00:21:50] That's one of the reasons we love like Waldorf in the early years
[00:21:53] is because there is so much fire fairies and magic, and we're all about that.
[00:21:58] First of all, there's a couple of things I want to say.
[00:22:00] One, it's very cool how feng shui is really so synonymous
[00:22:04] with so much what you've talked about, but especially the basil,
[00:22:06] because there is a basil floor wash that we do for abundance where we
[00:22:10] we make like a potion and then wash the floors with basil,
[00:22:13] bring in more abundance, wash down the kitchen.
[00:22:15] That's right. That's exactly what I do.
[00:22:17] Yeah, we have the same one, but I add my prosperity blend into that.
[00:22:21] Okay, right. A little up leveling. Yeah.
[00:22:25] And then
[00:22:26] I think one of the reasons I always think there's like reasons
[00:22:28] we connect with certain people right away.
[00:22:29] And I now think
[00:22:30] one of the reasons you and I connected was this mental thing, the metal element.
[00:22:34] So for me that's like immediately I was like, oh, metal element.
[00:22:37] Here she is. Like in feng shui when you're in your mind so much,
[00:22:40] this is a metal, this is a metal.
[00:22:41] And so we're always it's really good because we're thinking
[00:22:44] and we're clear and we precision and beauty
[00:22:46] and all these amazing things that metal brings.
[00:22:48] But it's so interesting that when you need to balance, you go to the earth, right?
[00:22:51] You need that earth element to come in
[00:22:52] through this potions and through getting your hands involved.
[00:22:55] And I relate a lot to that as well. So that's really beautiful.
[00:22:58] Okay, let's take it back a little bit.
[00:22:59] We've learned about how you came to this work, right.
[00:23:02] We've learned a little bit about your past as an educator.
[00:23:05] Take me into a little more of the what the work looks like for you
[00:23:08] and your beliefs about everybody being psychic and what is in your vision,
[00:23:12] like the true role of a psychic mentor in one's life?
[00:23:15] Oh, okay. So true role of a psychic mentor.
[00:23:18] This is such a loaded thing. I'm just going to go back, okay?
[00:23:21] Because a psychic can only be and I say this with basically kind of authority.
[00:23:27] A psychic can only be good as good as their intelligence and their knowing.
[00:23:32] Everything is filtered.
[00:23:33] No matter what we say, all of our experiences are filtered.
[00:23:36] Everything that we do, the way that we see the world, the way.
[00:23:39] If I tell you,
[00:23:40] I've got a glass in front of me and you're going to tell
[00:23:43] me, you see a round glass, and I'm going to show you my Coca-Cola glass,
[00:23:46] everything is filtered.
[00:23:49] And so if you're working with a psychic
[00:23:53] who does not have a very large world view,
[00:23:57] how can that psychic give you information about going global?
[00:24:01] I mean, when that's not even in the scope of that person's reality
[00:24:06] or in their filter?
[00:24:07] And I say this really, truly with confidence, as you want to look
[00:24:11] at the educational level of your psychic
[00:24:13] before you start working with your psychic.
[00:24:15] That's number one.
[00:24:16] If you want to go choose a psychic, find out what they know,
[00:24:19] find out their background, find out their educational level.
[00:24:22] What you're really looking for is find their filters.
[00:24:25] It's the biggest thing. Look for their filters.
[00:24:28] So when I worked at California Psychics, example, I used to be the cleanup psychic.
[00:24:32] What that meant is if a person had a bad or upsetting reading, then all of a sudden
[00:24:38] then they would be redirected to me and then I was responsible for fixing it.
[00:24:45] Okay.
[00:24:45] And one of the things that I remember so clearly in the fix, this is why
[00:24:51] I say to you, it's important to know the level of intelligence of your psychic.
[00:24:55] If someone's sitting at home
[00:24:57] watching television all day long and picking up, getting a reading,
[00:25:00] what kind of information are they going to provide for you?
[00:25:03] Oh yeah, your husband is cheating. I'm watching soap operas all day.
[00:25:05] Of course your husband is cheating.
[00:25:07] But you know what?
[00:25:07] The more that you know about men, withdrawing does not necessarily mean
[00:25:11] that he's cheating.
[00:25:12] It means that he's not able to contribute because you're not hearing him
[00:25:15] for some reason.
[00:25:16] And so then he'll go off in his space.
[00:25:19] But that's a conversation for another day.
[00:25:21] Bottom line is that I had a client who came to me.
[00:25:25] This was during the time of California Psychics, and she was crying
[00:25:29] on that call, and the psychic had told her, don't bother writing your book.
[00:25:35] It will never sell. Okay.
[00:25:38] So I took a look and I said, I'm going to disagree with that,
[00:25:43] because what I see is that your book will be written, and I also see that it has,
[00:25:47] and I did use my words carefully, has potential possibility to become a film.
[00:25:53] Then she said, all right, how blah blah, yada yada,
[00:25:56] so that it's going to take a little bit more. First, write your book.
[00:25:58] Okay?
[00:25:58] And truth of the matter is that her book was written.
[00:26:02] I saw it in the Wall Street Journal.
[00:26:03] I also saw an advertisement somewhere.
[00:26:07] I forget where it was, Google Ad
[00:26:08] or something like that for the movie that was supposed to be released.
[00:26:12] And then COVID happened. So the film never got finished.
[00:26:15] This would have all been had she listened to that psychic.
[00:26:18] None of this would have come.
[00:26:19] She would have never had a book that hit
[00:26:21] Wall Street Journal as a recommendation, because they thought it was amazing.
[00:26:25] She would have never had the beginning of a film,
[00:26:28] so who knows what life paths like.
[00:26:32] How many times is a psychic said to somebody, oh,
[00:26:33] you're never going to have kids?
[00:26:35] I have had to undo that.
[00:26:36] I have had to undo that many times.
[00:26:39] I'm giggling because this conversation, it's so interesting.
[00:26:42] I literally was talking to a girlfriend at a toddler class this morning.
[00:26:47] She helps people write books.
[00:26:48] We were talking about something and I said, if I ever wrote a book,
[00:26:50] my goal wouldn't be X, Y, Z, or whatever we were talking about.
[00:26:53] I said my goal would be to make it into a film.
[00:26:55] That's so funny that then I got the phone with you,
[00:26:58] and then this is the conversation we're having out of the
[00:27:01] a million different scenarios I could have chose, right?
[00:27:04] Well, my word for this is frequency specific.
[00:27:07] This is that telepathic connection where I can be thinking about a client.
[00:27:10] And maybe you have this also.
[00:27:11] I'm so trained to see it, if that makes any sense.
[00:27:16] I don't take any of this as coincidence, actually has morphed its definition.
[00:27:20] But coincidence when we understand it is, oh, it's just random.
[00:27:24] But it's not. Okay, this is not.
[00:27:26] And so even for me, like I am so highly in tune to this
[00:27:30] that if I am thinking about somebody and then two days later they text me,
[00:27:34] they want a session. All right.
[00:27:35] So I just know I've been picking up on their
[00:27:39] or maybe they're picking up on me. I have no idea. Okay.
[00:27:41] But none of this is for me. None of this is random.
[00:27:44] None of this is coincidence.
[00:27:45] And I am highly aware of all of those connections all the time.
[00:27:50] Like even in conversations.
[00:27:52] Yeah.
[00:27:53] And I'm curious how you deal with that, because I'm assuming that there's
[00:27:57] aspects of that are quite challenging.
[00:27:58] So what do you do for anyone that's listening that might be in this field, or
[00:28:03] thinking of being a psychic or whatever it is, or it's curious about that.
[00:28:06] Like I'm assuming that you have to have some serious boundaries
[00:28:10] around your own energy, around how you take care of yourself.
[00:28:14] Or maybe I'm wrong.
[00:28:14] I'm making an assumption, which is never a good idea,
[00:28:16] but I would love to know how you live in the world as a human
[00:28:20] with this channel so open. So
[00:28:25] this is where I get a lot of flak, okay.
[00:28:27] Because I do.
[00:28:28] Yeah, because I totally shut it off, I shut it, I totally shut it off.
[00:28:33] And people ask me all the time and they said to me, oh, I'm an empath.
[00:28:36] I feel everything.
[00:28:38] When other people feel it, I don't, I don't, I don't feel anything.
[00:28:42] And so we joke around about this in my family.
[00:28:45] Like, why didn't you know that?
[00:28:47] I said, I don't know because I wasn't looking.
[00:28:50] And maybe to know that in the moment.
[00:28:52] Thank you.
[00:28:56] That's right.
[00:28:57] There you go.
[00:28:57] Only the thing is that there's just so much energy around that to absorb all.
[00:29:03] I don't even think about it. It doesn't enter my mind.
[00:29:05] Bottom line is like talking to you.
[00:29:06] I do not go into, oh, is she going to write a book?
[00:29:09] Her book is coming. I see your grandmother behind you.
[00:29:11] I don't even go there. I don't do that.
[00:29:14] But if you tell me, let's do a reading, then I will actually shut down
[00:29:18] my computer screen and I will go into what I call the zone.
[00:29:22] And that will be a whole different.
[00:29:24] I do automatic writing and drawing.
[00:29:25] I do all kinds of things like that.
[00:29:28] And then I come out and I'll show client, oh, this is what I got over here
[00:29:31] and let's talk about it.
[00:29:33] Only there's too much interference when I'm doing one on one,
[00:29:36] because there's the body language that I'm tapping into.
[00:29:39] Then through the body language, I'm tapping into a belief system.
[00:29:42] I can see, I can read it.
[00:29:44] That interferes with my information and my delivery.
[00:29:47] If I know you're not going to believe what I'm telling you.
[00:29:49] Why do I bother having to even say this?
[00:29:51] So it's like this whole big process is going on in my head.
[00:29:55] So I've just said, okay, you know what?
[00:29:57] Either we do it on the phone, we could do it on Zoom, but I'm off camera.
[00:30:00] I think that's so fascinating because I love that.
[00:30:03] I don't know why you get flak for that.
[00:30:05] That's so strange to me because it seems like the smartest, most
[00:30:10] reasonable, intelligent solution to what I'm assuming
[00:30:14] because I think it's incredible.
[00:30:15] And that just happened automatically.
[00:30:17] Or did you have to train yourself to do that, to shut. It down?
[00:30:19] It just just happened.
[00:30:20] Sometimes I wonder if that happened during childhood,
[00:30:23] where it was shut down so much that it was almost like
[00:30:27] not allowed to bubble up in order
[00:30:29] to fit in, to be normal.
[00:30:33] So I.
[00:30:34] I want to go back a little bit after this.
[00:30:36] I'm going to leave some space because I want to go wherever you want to go.
[00:30:39] And I want all the promotion.
[00:30:41] Elly, bring it on.
[00:30:42] I want you to go
[00:30:43] tell everyone all the different things, all the ways to work with you.
[00:30:46] So we will leave plenty of space for that.
[00:30:48] But I'm curious,
[00:30:49] because one of the things you were saying was that you had this, whatever it was.
[00:30:54] I don't remember the words you used, but this has been with you
[00:30:56] since childhood, and it was odd in the time that you were growing up.
[00:30:59] And I relate to that a lot, because I wanted to be a circus performer
[00:31:02] when I was seven years old, and in the 90s in New York City in a private school.
[00:31:05] That is very weird.
[00:31:06] So I very much relate to that just sort of innate thing.
[00:31:10] So after you were in an educator, how did you begin to reawaken this?
[00:31:16] Did you study? Did you have a mentor?
[00:31:18] What was your process to getting to where you are today?
[00:31:21] I know that's not a linear thing, but yeah. It's okay.
[00:31:24] It's okay. So I never really left.
[00:31:26] Okay.
[00:31:26] Meaning I used to do readings for friends, I would do readings for family,
[00:31:31] and then I never quite left the world doing psychic readings.
[00:31:36] And it was only through doing more and more readings that it became easier.
[00:31:41] But there's a lot of information there, a lot of people out there.
[00:31:44] But one of the people that I highly, he's no longer with us.
[00:31:48] I highly respect for anybody who really wants to learn
[00:31:51] and to tap in to their abilities
[00:31:54] would be to go back to finding the old.
[00:31:57] And I'm not talking about the newer versions of this work, okay,
[00:32:01] with AI voices or the marketing
[00:32:04] that has come, but go find the original.
[00:32:08] You can find it on YouTube.
[00:32:09] It's the José Silva.
[00:32:11] José Silva was from the 1960s, and I don't know
[00:32:15] if you're familiar with his work, but everybody from Tony Robbins
[00:32:19] to Wayne Dyer to all of your modern day gurus have all studied
[00:32:24] José Silva's system, and it's known as the Silva System.
[00:32:28] Just going to leave it.
[00:32:29] There are companies out there that have taken over the Silva system,
[00:32:33] and I'm saying that if you really want the real deal,
[00:32:37] you want to go to José's old book, which is The Silva Mind Control Method.
[00:32:43] It's got everything in there.
[00:32:44] It's still on Amazon and that will teach anybody
[00:32:49] how to go into the alpha state, because we as adults need to go into alpha.
[00:32:54] Children are naturally in the alpha.
[00:32:56] This is the reduced brainwave frequency.
[00:32:58] This is where we can tap into our psychic abilities.
[00:33:00] We don't access our psychic abilities in beta mind.
[00:33:03] This is beta where we're at right now.
[00:33:05] So José's got wonderful exercises.
[00:33:09] It's just a fascinating way to start to practice.
[00:33:12] The more that you do it, the more that you start working with the José's methods.
[00:33:16] It is probably the fastest way to access your psychic abilities
[00:33:21] without investing heavy duty money or learning from a mentor.
[00:33:25] I don't even believe you can teach this stuff,
[00:33:26] even though I have it in the book, but the book is basically just exercises
[00:33:31] that one can do and the language around it.
[00:33:34] I love this so much, and I've enjoyed this conversation so
[00:33:37] much, and I really appreciate your perspective,
[00:33:41] because I think
[00:33:42] there's a lot of misinformation out there in this field, in this realm.
[00:33:46] I'm very sensitive to it.
[00:33:47] One of the things I want to highlight that I think is so important
[00:33:50] for everyone to hear, and please feel free to disagree with me.
[00:33:53] I'm all for that.
[00:33:54] But that this is a skill that you can practice.
[00:33:56] Like anything else, I'm sure certain people are born
[00:33:59] with more access or more just like a gymnast. Like some people.
[00:34:02] I can do a cartwheel pretty easily, but anybody can learn to do a cartwheel.
[00:34:06] I'm going to go down on say that for sure.
[00:34:08] Any human being can learn to a cartwheel.
[00:34:10] So I really appreciate that perspective.
[00:34:13] It's just really grounded and wonderful to talk to you.
[00:34:15] So, Elly, I want to give you a little space to talk about your work,
[00:34:19] what you're most excited about, anything you're doing, selling, promoting.
[00:34:24] Bring it on.
[00:34:25] Like, let's really live in that realm.
[00:34:27] Okay, here we go, here we go.
[00:34:29] Thank you, Cody.
[00:34:30] So we met because I found your interview on my friend Kate's web.
[00:34:35] My friend Kate interviewed you.
[00:34:37] And when I listened to Kate's just pitch for her work.
[00:34:39] Also incredible work, Her Growth Cycle.
[00:34:42] So when I listened to your interview and was like, oh my God,
[00:34:46] this is so refreshing.
[00:34:47] I love listening to this lady.
[00:34:49] I just felt so much authenticity coming from you
[00:34:52] and you have a lot of knowledge, you have a lot of wisdom and you just
[00:34:56] highly intuitive and sorry I'm saying these things to you,
[00:35:00] but it feels as if your authenticity and your integrity is so intact
[00:35:05] that whatever you put your mind to, you're
[00:35:08] definitely going to be a huge contribution to people on the planet.
[00:35:11] And so I'm sending you many blessings.
[00:35:14] Just keep doing what you're doing. All right.
[00:35:15] Because thank you, Cody.
[00:35:17] Because that comes across.
[00:35:18] It's just so they're okay in the space.
[00:35:21] So with that being said, what I am working on,
[00:35:25] I'm taking this all next level.
[00:35:27] And it came out of being tired of listening to nonsense.
[00:35:32] Okay.
[00:35:33] And this is already before the big AI boom.
[00:35:36] So what I noticed over the years of doing this work is the language
[00:35:40] and the conversations of spirituality
[00:35:43] going into the fifth dimension and going into the realms.
[00:35:47] And I'm not making fun of anything, only what I started to see
[00:35:52] is that the language changed.
[00:35:54] Everything changed.
[00:35:56] But the structure, I call it the fish tank.
[00:35:58] This is going to be in my new book.
[00:36:00] It's called The Molina Method unless I change the name again.
[00:36:03] So I keep changing the name till I find what I want.
[00:36:06] Thank God the book's not published.
[00:36:08] I can call it whatever I want, right?
[00:36:10] And so what we live in is this inherited fish tank of belief systems.
[00:36:15] And each word that we carry is not just a word that is from our generation.
[00:36:21] These words have hereditary meaning from past.
[00:36:25] It goes all the way back.
[00:36:27] So the book is historical.
[00:36:29] It starts with history and then it moves through.
[00:36:31] And when I noticed is that all of these claims
[00:36:35] about going into spirituality is just dressing
[00:36:38] up old concepts in new clothes.
[00:36:41] There's nothing there, there's no change, there's nothing, there's nothing new.
[00:36:45] You're still swimming in an archaic fish
[00:36:48] tank, and people are just bumping up against the walls.
[00:36:51] They don't even know that.
[00:36:52] They're just regurgitating the conversations of dead people,
[00:36:56] and they're just continuing to have these perpetuating worldviews,
[00:37:00] changing the language.
[00:37:02] And they have no access.
[00:37:03] Many people have no access other than to make up some thing to say,
[00:37:07] well, we're all going to go off into utopia and all of this.
[00:37:11] Now, mind you, I do really want utopia also.
[00:37:14] Only I believe that we can have utopia by cracking a fish tank.
[00:37:18] And that is what I talk about in my book that I'm still writing,
[00:37:22] and that's what I'm doing with my clients.
[00:37:24] So this takes us back to something very simple.
[00:37:27] You say I want to be, I don't know.
[00:37:30] Actor. An actor. Yeah. Okay.
[00:37:33] So I've taken clients who are actors from being
[00:37:37] I don't even know anything about this.
[00:37:38] From B-list actors to A-list actors. Okay.
[00:37:42] And so that is done using the fish tank, cracking the fish tank,
[00:37:47] learning how to use language differently in a new way
[00:37:52] that will give us access to living in the space of possibility, in the space
[00:37:57] of imagination, in the space of anything and everything is possible.
[00:38:01] When we can crack that fish tank and use the language and the vibration
[00:38:05] and the thoughts that align with what it is that we want.
[00:38:09] And that's not just jargon.
[00:38:10] This stuff works okay.
[00:38:12] And I've just got so many stories about how this works.
[00:38:17] That's why I wrote the book.
[00:38:18] That's also why I'm writing the book.
[00:38:20] Okay, it's not quite done yet.
[00:38:21] I'm working my way through the edits right now,
[00:38:24] but the method is available, like when I work with my clients.
[00:38:26] Now this is where we go. This is what we do.
[00:38:29] So is the work primarily online and in one on one capacity at this time?
[00:38:34] Right now, everything is one on one with me.
[00:38:37] I'm intending.
[00:38:39] The intention is that once the book is finished,
[00:38:41] anybody can pick up the book and say, okay, wow, this is what I have to do.
[00:38:45] I'm following it systematically.
[00:38:46] I do A, B, C, D.
[00:38:48] This is what I do, and I can do this.
[00:38:51] And it always helps, obviously, to have a cheerleader or somebody who can
[00:38:55] guide you through the things.
[00:38:56] But my intention is that the book will be enough for people to say,
[00:39:01] hey, you know what, I can follow this.
[00:39:04] Then have that.
[00:39:06] It's very different from your traditional manifesting.
[00:39:08] That's amazing.
[00:39:09] I'm always thinking about feng shui because that's just my life, my worldview.
[00:39:13] Right? We talk about filters. That's my filter.
[00:39:16] And I think that one of the things I'm always saying to people is like,
[00:39:20] you are the most important energy in your home.
[00:39:23] And so I deeply believe in the power of our environment.
[00:39:27] I also deeply believe that if you're not doing some sort of personal work
[00:39:33] alongside of working with your space, it's not going to be as effective.
[00:39:38] So as you were talking, I really feel like a deep alignment
[00:39:42] there of putting it all together in a way to work the personal energy.
[00:39:44] And I. Have you ever heard of The Artist's Way?
[00:39:46] Have you heard that? Of course.
[00:39:47] I'm wondering if there'll be pods of people doing the Molina Method together.
[00:39:53] That'd be really awesome.
[00:39:55] Really cool.
[00:39:56] All right, I'm putting that out there for the method.
[00:39:59] Thank you.
[00:40:00] I used to do an academy for two years.
[00:40:01] I ran an academy.
[00:40:02] And that is really where all this work started.
[00:40:05] That is where we actually, I call it getting on the playing field.
[00:40:08] I worked with 12 women. I capped it at 12.
[00:40:11] We worked together for nine months and it was group and individual.
[00:40:15] So they had private access to me as well as the group access,
[00:40:18] and they had access to each other and we worked this.
[00:40:21] They had results. They had results.
[00:40:23] The beauty of this, Cody, is that their results are still going.
[00:40:25] So it's not like they had results while they were working with me,
[00:40:28] and now they're back doing their thing.
[00:40:30] Now they're still growing and growing.
[00:40:32] That's the real thing.
[00:40:33] That's always my goal too, is,
[00:40:35] yeah, I want you to have a quick win because that's great.
[00:40:37] But I also want you to come back to me in a year and say, yeah,
[00:40:42] this my helpful people in travel is really on point.
[00:40:44] And now this is going and this is going.
[00:40:46] So I'm totally with. Wait, I have. One thing.
[00:40:49] Just keep going.
[00:40:50] All right. So my door is behind me right.
[00:40:53] That is my door.
[00:40:54] Okay I don't think I haven't noticed.
[00:40:58] I know, and then I listened to your video.
[00:41:01] Right.
[00:41:01] I listened to your podcast with Kate, and then I changed everything, and. I.
[00:41:05] Changed, and I.
[00:41:06] But then I was staring at a wall, and I realized that I'm going to have to.
[00:41:10] You could give me some tips later.
[00:41:12] I need to have in front of my window, which no one can see
[00:41:15] is a very expansive panoramic view with trees and sky clouds.
[00:41:20] And I needed to have that view from my sessions as opposed to the blanks.
[00:41:25] The wall in front of me, I felt trapped.
[00:41:29] Yeah, it's tricky and that's why I don't believe in rules.
[00:41:31] So any feng shui account that I come across on the Instagram that's like.
[00:41:36] This, this.
[00:41:37] You know, like it's like, okay, cool, that works for you, I respect it.
[00:41:41] It's like some of what you were saying.
[00:41:42] I'm not knocking it.
[00:41:43] It's just not what I am working with.
[00:41:46] I've done that. I've done the hard rules.
[00:41:48] And so first of all, there's seasons, right?
[00:41:50] So maybe this is a season where you are not ready to be in front of a wall.
[00:41:56] Or maybe I can't fully see the configuration of your office.
[00:41:59] So there might be a different position that would give you both right on the side
[00:42:02] or diagonally, like you have the wall if you were diagonal.
[00:42:05] So there's that.
[00:42:06] There's the literal like where can we move?
[00:42:08] And is that possible.
[00:42:09] But then there's also just like, hey, maybe that doesn't apply to you.
[00:42:12] Maybe you feel really safe with the door to your back.
[00:42:14] Maybe you feel really in command.
[00:42:16] I don't get that a lack of confidence necessarily for you.
[00:42:19] So maybe that's not what you're working on right now.
[00:42:22] Command position is super important in our lives,
[00:42:25] and that's for everyone that doesn't know what we're talking about.
[00:42:27] Command position is when you're sleeping, working, and cooking.
[00:42:30] Often you want to be not directly in alignment with the door, but facing it.
[00:42:34] It's called command.
[00:42:35] One of the tenets of feng shui that I do think is important.
[00:42:38] But there's always nuance, right?
[00:42:40] There's always nuance.
[00:42:41] And if someone was struggling with their confidence,
[00:42:43] feeling like their voice wasn't being heard, all of these things,
[00:42:46] it would be incredibly important to be in command. Someone that is where you are at.
[00:42:51] Or maybe that's just not what you're working on.
[00:42:53] You feel really safe. You feel really comfortable with yourself.
[00:42:55] You feel really confident.
[00:42:57] Maybe you can be fine with your back to the door.
[00:42:59] Like, whatever, bring it.
[00:43:00] You think you can surprise me? I'm psychic.
[00:43:02] As long as we're on Zoom, I can see who's coming.
[00:43:05] Well, that brings up a thing.
[00:43:06] So there's three things I wanted to bring up.
[00:43:08] One, I can't see the whole room.
[00:43:09] So maybe there's a position that you could be in that gives you both two.
[00:43:12] Maybe it's not the season that you really need
[00:43:14] to worry about, that it's not a thing for you.
[00:43:16] Three you could always place a mirror on your desk so that you can see
[00:43:20] in the mirror. It doesn't have to be big. It can be small.
[00:43:22] You can see the door is someone coming in, and you can get to keep
[00:43:25] your expansive view.
[00:43:26] I do that in my office because this contraption that I'm sitting
[00:43:30] in was bigger than we intended, so I can't actually see the door.
[00:43:32] So I have a mirror on the wall.
[00:43:34] And for me, it's incredibly important because I have a three year old
[00:43:36] and I need to know when that little thing is about to interrupt me.
[00:43:39] So I see in the mirror the door opening, and I know, okay, like
[00:43:42] if I'm on a client session, hold on a sec or whatever it is, right?
[00:43:45] So I love that question so much
[00:43:46] because it brings the nuance of what season am I in?
[00:43:50] What do I really need to bring into my life?
[00:43:53] And then is there a tiny solution that is probably less than $10
[00:43:57] that I can just put on my desk?
[00:43:58] Have both.
[00:43:59] Okay, awesome. I'll get the mirror. Yeah.
[00:44:02] The other thing is, I don't really work from this area unless I'm doing a session
[00:44:05] for clients. Otherwise, I don't sit here.
[00:44:07] So you're not there all day?
[00:44:08] No. I'm in the living room with my back
[00:44:10] against the wall and the door in front of me.
[00:44:12] Okay, that's where I do all of my work, my writing, my work, all of that.
[00:44:16] This is for clients.
[00:44:18] And then I have the door behind me, I see. Yeah.
[00:44:20] Yeah, yeah.
[00:44:22] It's so funny because I encounter this so much because we're all on Zoom a lot.
[00:44:26] And so I'm always seeing what's behind people.
[00:44:28] And it's really not uncommon to have the door behind you.
[00:44:30] A lot of people have it, but sometimes I'll be talking to someone and just
[00:44:34] from what they're saying, I'm like, oh my God, she's gotta turn around. No.
[00:44:39] It's just interesting.
[00:44:40] So I love that you brought that up because all of this, I just want to say
[00:44:43] there's a big dose of nuance and this is why.
[00:44:46] And then I promise I will wrap. But
[00:44:48] I could talk to you forever.
[00:44:49] But this is why
[00:44:50] I was not really showing up on social media for a long time, because
[00:44:55] I was so metal in my head about like, how do I use this short form?
[00:45:00] I don't want to give people tips.
[00:45:02] Tips don't apply to everybody.
[00:45:04] But here's the truth.
[00:45:05] The truth is, if I don't show up at all and nobody sees me,
[00:45:08] then nobody sees me, right?
[00:45:10] So it's worth having to then explain the nuance later.
[00:45:14] For the people that want to be in my world and to everyone else, it's fine.
[00:45:18] No one's going to be harmed by a simple feng shui
[00:45:20] tip, so we're all good on that level. But anyway, I think it's really cool.
[00:45:23] All right.
[00:45:24] Elly, well, this has been such a great conversation.
[00:45:27] You all have listened to it now,
[00:45:28] but in this present moment, I cannot wait for people to listen.
[00:45:31] Don't go away. You and I will say goodbye privately.
[00:45:33] But let's say bye bye.
[00:45:34] And everybody, just so you know, all of her information will be in the show
[00:45:38] notes, but it's ellymolina.com.
[00:45:42] You can also find her on Instagram.
[00:45:45] I will link all of that down there.
[00:45:47] Please feel free to feel more than free.
[00:45:50] I encourage you to reach out, get in touch and I'll see you next time.
[00:45:53] Thank you Cody.
[00:45:55] Okay, so if you're in our part of the world, it's autumn.
[00:45:58] Halloween is right around the corner, and that fall crispness
[00:46:02] is coming into our lives.
[00:46:04] So today, in honor of possibility, which we talked a lot about with Elly,
[00:46:08] I want to talk about how feng shui and possibility intersect.
[00:46:12] So in my view, feng shui is all about opening up to possibilities
[00:46:16] that we cannot see or that we are not aware of.
[00:46:21] So a lot of people come to feng shui because they want something, because we're human.
[00:46:24] That's what we do, right?
[00:46:25] We want something.
[00:46:26] We think this thing might help and so we try it. I'm no different.
[00:46:29] Exactly the same story.
[00:46:30] What we learned through feng shui is that when we align our environment,
[00:46:34] when we set our environment up with our intentions, we basically
[00:46:38] are opening the door to possibilities that we couldn't even think of.
[00:46:42] So I'm going to give you today some really actionable ways
[00:46:45] you can make space for possibilities that you're not even thinking of
[00:46:49] working with your home.
[00:46:50] So the first is always going to be the front door.
[00:46:53] If you're not using your architecturally intended front door,
[00:46:56] my invitation to you is to start using it in feng shui.
[00:46:59] Most likely know if you've listened to me before,
[00:47:01] or if you don't know if you haven't listened to me before or someone else is.
[00:47:05] The front door is the mouth of chi.
[00:47:08] It is where everything enters our lives.
[00:47:11] It is where nourishment enters our lives in the form of abundance,
[00:47:14] in the form of opportunity, in the form of connection.
[00:47:17] So we want to make sure that our front door is really healthy.
[00:47:20] How do we do that?
[00:47:21] We want to make sure that there's light at our front door, that there's joy
[00:47:25] at our front door, that there is not a lot of clutter in our front door.
[00:47:28] We're not walking into a ginormous
[00:47:30] pile of shoes or bags or things that we meant to open.
[00:47:34] I mean, look, we don't have to be completely perfect about this.
[00:47:37] Do Amazon boxes sit in my entryway for days on end?
[00:47:40] Yes, they do on a regular basis, but they are eventually dealt with.
[00:47:44] It is not the tone of the entryway.
[00:47:47] 100% of the time.
[00:47:48] And if you want to add a little magic to this area,
[00:47:52] a little practical magic, give your front entry a nice refresh.
[00:47:56] Wipe down the door handles.
[00:47:57] Wipe down the front door sweep.
[00:47:59] If you have a front porch, shake out your front door mat if you have one.
[00:48:03] Really refresh that energy and then go ahead and go to your kitchen.
[00:48:06] Grab your cinnamon.
[00:48:07] Take a handful of cinnamon.
[00:48:09] Stand outside your front door
[00:48:11] and imagine that all of the stagnant energy that is accumulated over the past,
[00:48:15] however long it's been since you did this before, is clearing from your space,
[00:48:19] and you are inviting
[00:48:20] fresh opportunities beyond the goodness you could possibly imagine.
[00:48:24] And then blow a handful of cinnamon into your front door.
[00:48:27] Cinnamon has long been associated
[00:48:29] with prosperity, with speed of the things we desire coming to us.
[00:48:33] It is an excellent, clearer of energy and bringer of good luck.
[00:48:38] The next space I want you to give a little attention is your stove.
[00:48:41] I want you to be regularly using your stove.
[00:48:43] Your stove is really the abundance moneymaker in your home.
[00:48:46] It's the hearth of your home.
[00:48:47] If you haven't done a nice deep clean in a while, I need to do that too.
[00:48:51] Go ahead and give it a good scrub
[00:48:52] and make sure you're using all of your burners every single day.
[00:48:56] Rotate which burner you use even if you don't love to cook.
[00:48:59] Make a pot of tea or just turn on the burners and imagine
[00:49:02] abundance coming into your lives and then turn them off.
[00:49:05] We really want to stoke this area of our home and of our lives.
[00:49:08] And the final thing I'm going to recommend is to open your windows.
[00:49:12] We want to open to fresh possibilities to keep our space fresh and invigorated
[00:49:18] and clear of all of anything that can be lingering in our spaces.
[00:49:22] So every few days, or if you can every day open
[00:49:25] different windows in your home, or if you have a smaller space, open them all
[00:49:29] and really imagine all the stagnation leaving your space
[00:49:32] and fresh, beautiful opportunity coming in through the windows.
[00:49:36] So, as you can see
[00:49:37] from this conversation, feng shui does not need to be complicated.
[00:49:41] You do not need to go into any kind of fear when it comes to rules
[00:49:47] and regulations.
[00:49:49] Yes, there are some principles that can really help and can really guide
[00:49:52] us, and we definitely get into that in a one on one consultation.
[00:49:55] However, feng shui is not here to scare you.
[00:49:58] It's here to make your life more fun, more magical,
[00:50:01] more abundant, more in alignment with your path on life.
[00:50:05] So go forth fearlessly and when you're ready to learn more.

[00:50:13] I'll see you next time. Bye!
